Belton, MO Line Striping
Belton is a small city located in Cass County, Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The city has a total area of 14.32 square miles and a population of 23,116 according to the 2010 census.
The history of Belton dates back over 100 years. In August of 1869, George W. Scott and William H. Colbern purchased about 80 acres of land. Scott and Colbern filed a plat for the land in December of 1871 and it was later incorporated in 1872. It was named after Captain Marcus Lindsey Belt who helped survey the land. Today, Belton is the commerce center of Cass County. The city has a flagship retail and mixed-use project called Belton Gateway which includes retailers such as Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Petco, Party City and Five Below. Additional recent restaurant expansions include Panera Bread, Kneaders Bakery, Cracker Barrel, and Hawaiian Bros Island Grill. Not only is business growing here, but Belton is also in the middle of a residential growth boom, with investment surpassing $20 million in 2017. More than 100 residential building permits were issued in 2016 and 2017. Belton is a growing city that has much to offer its residents as well as the people who work here.
